Soccer Recap: St. Stephens Takes a Loss + How To Watch

St. Stephens lost against Alexander Central back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Indians lost 9-0 to the Cougars. While losing is never fun, St. Stephens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 401st, while Alexander Central are ranked 108th).

St. Stephens is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14-1. As for Alexander Central, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-4-2.

Looking ahead, St. Stephens is taking a road trip to challenge Freedom at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Stephens will be up against Freedom's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.06 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Alexander Central, they will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against McDowell at 6:00 p.m.
