Gwenavere Klun made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Lafree, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.
Meanwhile, Vincennes Lincoln entered their tilt with Pike Central on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Chargers 18-7. The result was nothing new for the Alices, who have now won five contests by nine runs or more so far this season.
Grace Archer was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Miley Carie-Fredrick, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Vincennes Lincoln was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are 7-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Vincennes Lincoln's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-7. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Bloomfield, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
Vincennes Lincoln's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Bloomfield has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.1 hits per game. It's a different story for Vincennes Lincoln, though, as they've been averaging 9.5 hits. Given Bloomfield's sizable advantage in that area, the Alices will need to find a way to close that gap.
