Softball Recap: Stephenville Wins Going Away Against North Side

Stephenville's tournament run continued when they took on North Side on Friday. Everything went the Stephenville Yellow Jackets/Honeybees' way against the North Side Steers as the Stephenville Yellow Jackets/Honeybees made off with a 12-3 victory. The Yellow Jackets/Honeybees might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Presley Gaitan, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and four RBI. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jazmyn Rodgers, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.

Stephenville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Stephenville pushed their record up to 9-3-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for North Side, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.
