Basketball Recap: Tse' Yi' Gai Comes Up Short

Tse' Yi' Gai was the 48-43 winner over Coronado when they last played one another last Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Tse' Yi' Gai Dine Warriors fell just short of the Coronado Leopards by a score of 44-41 on Thursday.

Despite the loss, Tse' Yi' Gai still got an impressive performance from LaDainian Werito, who went 9 of 19 to rack up 23 points. Werito's evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Marshall Chaco was another key player, putting up eight points.

Tse' Yi' Gai's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Coronado, their victory bumped their record up to 9-10.

Looking ahead, Tse' Yi' Gai will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Pine Hill at 2:30 p.m. Pine Hill knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Tse' Yi' Gai likes a good challenge. As for Coronado, they are taking a road trip to take on Corona/Vaughn at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
