Preview: Osmond/Randolph Hawks vs. Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears
After four games on the road, Osmond/Randolph is heading back home. Having just played yesterday, they will get right back to it and host the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears at 7:45 p.m. on January 23rd. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
On Monday, Osmond/Randolph was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 47-41 to Winside.
Laurel-Concord-Coleridge has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a hard 53-38 fall against Wayne on Saturday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Laurel-Concord-Coleridge has scored all season.
Laurel-Concord-Coleridge's loss came about despite a quality game from Kolby Hansen, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds. Bradyn Urwiler was another key contributor, scoring five points along with two steals.
Osmond/Randolph's defeat was their 13th straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-10. As for Laurel-Concord-Coleridge, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-5 record this season.
Osmond/Randolph took a serious blow against Laurel-Concord-Coleridge in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 54-25. Thankfully for Osmond/Randolph, Jake Rath (who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
