Football Recap: Lutheran South Comes Up Short

Lutheran South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the MICDS Rams 54-21. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 288th, while the Rams are ranked 114th).

Lutheran South's record now sits at 1-6. As for MICDS, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lutheran South will host Confluence Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for MICDS, they will take on St. Dominic at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Crusaders' defense has only allowed 8.4 points per game this season, so the Rams' offense will have their work cut out for them.
