Basketball Recap: Colstrip Comes Up Short

Colstrip lost against Lame Deer back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Colstrip Colts took a 69-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lame Deer Morning Stars. The Colts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Semaj Bird-Killsnight was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 17 points and nine boards for Lame Deer. Kymani Fraser was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Colstrip's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Lame Deer, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Colstrip has already played their next match (against Baker), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lame Deer will square off against Huntley Project at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Lame Deer's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
