Basketball Game Preview: Grovetown Warriors vs. Warner Robins Demons

The Grovetown Warriors will venture away from home to square off against the Warner Robins Demons at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Grovetown is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.2 points per game this season.

On Tuesday, Grovetown ended up a good deal behind Butler and lost 57-38. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Bulldogs are ranked eighth).

Asunti Porter put forth a good effort for the losing side as she went 6 of 11 on her way to 19 points. The contest was her sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Cavalier, who posted seven points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Warner Robins put another one in the bag last Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Lee County 67-44. The Demons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Warner Robins' victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for Grovetown, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
