Basketball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Central can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Pace Academy Knights and fell 66-31. The match marked the Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Pace Academy was led to victory by Chandler Bing and Eric Chatfield. Bing almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds, while Chatfield went 8-for-14 en route to 18 points. Bing is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 46% in the last 14 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Bentley Lusakueno, who posted eight points in addition to five boards and three blocks.

Central has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-7 record this season. The victory (which was Pace Academy's eighth in a row) raised their record to 24-4.

Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pace Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 80-50 win against Kell on the 21st.
