Football Recap: Wickenburg Comes Up Short

The matchup between Wickenburg and Dysart on Friday hardly resembled the 19-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Wranglers took a blow against the Demons, falling 60-7. The loss leaves the Wranglers still looking for their first win of the season.

Brayden Zuccato threw for 130 yards and one touchdown.

Dysart's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Josiah Laborin, who threw for 133 yards and three TDs on only 11 passes, and also rushed for 51 yards and one score. Those 133 passing yards gave Laborin a new career-high. Donovan Hinchey was in the mix too, providing Dysart with two touchdowns.

Wickenburg's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Dysart, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wickenburg will head out to take on Odyssey Institute at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dysart, they will venture away from home to challenge Seton Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Demons will be up against the Sentinels' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.2 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
