Basketball Recap: Micah Martinez Key Part of Team Effort in Warriors Win

Montbello lost to Northglenn back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Warriors took down the Norsemen 57-41. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Montbello's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Micah Martinez, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 11 boards. Those 20 points gave Martinez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was John Whiteside, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 15 points.

Several Norsemen players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacob Martin, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Ethan Mayle was another key player, putting up ten points.

Montbello's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Northglenn, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Montbello has already played their next contest, a 67-61 loss against DSST: Conservatory Green on the 6th. As for Northglenn, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 65-63 defeat against Niwot on the 6th.
