Football Recap: Trooper Stiles Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Killdeer

The Malta/Whitewater/Saco/Dodson Mustangs got the win against the Killdeer Cowboys on Saturday by a conclusive 36-15. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won five matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.

Malta/Whitewater/Saco/Dodson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Trooper Stiles led the charge by picking up 47 receiving yards and two scores. That's the most receiving touchdowns Stiles has posted since back in September of 2024. Another passer making a difference was Kazner Oxarart, who threw for 99 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Malta/Whitewater/Saco/Dodson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 249 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Malta/Whitewater/Saco/Dodson's defense and their four sacks. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Landon Retan and Kayden Green, who each picked up 0.5 sacks apiece. Stiles got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Malta/Whitewater/Saco/Dodson's record now sits at 6-0. As for Killdeer, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.
