            Volleyball Recap: Hartford Orioles vs. West Bend West Spartans        
        
		
        
        
            Hartford was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight  loss. They took  a  2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Bend West Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Orioles of the  3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in September of 2024.
 While Hartford had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19,  25-21.
 Despite the  loss, Hartford saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Lydia Krasselt  had seven  digs and five  assists.
 West Bend West was led to victory by  Ella Henschel and  Morgan Winkler.  Henschel  had 15  assists and two  aces, while  Winkler  hit 71.4% for five  kills and six  digs and four  aces. That's the most  aces  Winkler has posted since back in August.
Hartford's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for West Bend West, their win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 10-15.
 Coincidentally, Hartford and West Bend West will both be playing Manitowoc Lincoln the next time they take the court. The Orioles will head out to face the Ships at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday, while the Spartans will play them later in the day, at 11:00  a.m.
