Volleyball Recap: Cristo Rey St. Viator Takes a Loss

Cristo Rey St. Viator was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Valley Vikings, falling 3-0. The Royals were not able to make up for their defeat to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Cristo Rey St. Viator took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-5, 25-9, 25-12.

Valley was led to victory by Leonardo Lopez Dominguez and Devin Keene. Lopez Dominguez had six digs and three aces, while Keene had three digs and two aces. Those two aces gave Keene a new career-high.

Cristo Rey St. Viator's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Cristo Rey St. Viator will challenge Moapa Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Valley, they will take on Pinecrest Academy Cadence at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
