Basketball Game Preview: King's Fork Bulldogs vs. Woodson Cavaliers

The King's Fork Bulldogs will take on the Woodson Cavaliers in a holiday battle at at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Woodson is hoping to do what West Catholic couldn't on Saturday: put an end to King's Fork's winning streak, which now stands at three games. King's Fork came out on top against West Catholic by a score of 66-55.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Woodson). Everything went their way against Robinson on Friday as Woodson made off with a 68-45 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-18.

Woodson had a senior duo take command as William Taylor went 5 of 8 on his way to 14 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals and Theo Burke went 5 for 11 on his way to 13 points. That's the most points Taylor has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylen Chilton, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 10 points and three steals.

The victory made it two in a row for Woodson and bumps their season record up to 4-2. As for King's Fork, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
