Unity Reed falls despite strong effort from Charles Pargo

The Unity Reed Lions struggled with assists on Friday (Independence had 16 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Unity Reed was outmatched by Independence on the road and fell 83-36. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Unity Reed has scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why Unity Reed lost, one person who can't be blamed is Charles Pargo. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points. Pargo scored a full 52.8% of Unity Reed's points, the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Among those leading the charge was Grant Kunkle, who scored 18 points along with three steals. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jordan Ratliff, who scored nine points.

This is the second loss in a row for Unity Reed and nudges their season record down to 3-8. As for Independence, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
