Volleyball Recap: Megan Butler Key Part of Team Effort in Crusaders Win

Emmanuel Christian won the last time they faced Orangeburg Christian Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Crusaders walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Patriots. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Crusaders.

Emmanuel Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Megan Butler led the charge by getting 14 digs. Aubrey Blackmon was another key player, getting four aces and two blocks.

Emmanuel Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in August of 2024.

Emmanuel Christian's win bumped their record up to 2-0-1.

Emmanuel Christian has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Easley Christian on the 16th. As for Orangeburg Christian Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Community Christian Academy at 6:15 p.m. on September 16.
