The North Ridgeville Rangers will take on the Perry Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. North Ridgeville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.

North Ridgeville took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over Berea-Midpark. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rangers have posted since April 30, 2024.

Naomi Bottomlee spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up 11 Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ella Nicholls, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Perry couldn't beat Jackson on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. Neither the Panthers nor the Polar Bears could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 6-6 draw.

North Ridgeville's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. Perry's tie gives them a new season record of 3-11-1.
