Recap: Appling County Pirates vs. Toombs County Bulldogs

The Appling County Pirates won the last time they faced the Toombs County Bulldogs, and things went their way on Friday too. Appling County came out on top against Toombs County by a score of 45-32.

It was another big night for Ke?niyah White , who scored 24 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Those 24 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Shamiah Barnum , who scored no points along with 12 steals.

Appling County's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Toombs County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Appling County won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Bacon County at 4:00 p.m. on January 6th. Hopefully Bacon County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday. As for Toombs County, they will head out on the road to face off against Windsor Forest at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Windsor Forest is ranked 455th, while Toombs County is ranked 464th).
