Soccer Recap: Denbigh Takes a Loss

The Denbigh Patriots came up short against the Kecoughtan Warriors on Tuesday and fell 5-3. While losing is never fun, Denbigh can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while Kecoughtan are ranked 80th).

Denbigh has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8-1 record this season. As for Kecoughtan, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-4.

Looking ahead, Denbigh will head out on the road to take on Bethel at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kecoughtan, they will host Poquoson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
