Inspired Vision comes up short despite Tyree Sheffield's dominant performance

Recap: Inspired Vision EAGLES vs. Trinity Leadership Tigers

The Inspired Vision EAGLES suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Saturday. They were beaten by Trinity Leadership 91-44. Inspired Vision was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-19.

Despite the loss, Inspired Vision still got an impressive performance from Tyree Sheffield, who scored 24 points. That was a full 54.5% of Inspired Vision's points, marking the eighth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Gabriel Kalala was another key contributor, scoring ten points.

Trinity Leadership's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caron McGee, who scored 14 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Maiden, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.

Inspired Vision's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-15. As for Trinity Leadership, they pushed their record up to 11-15 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Inspired Vision will head out on the road to challenge Gateway Charter Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Khing Williams and Sheffield. Trinity Leadership will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Life Oak Cliff at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th.
