Football Recap: Lathrop Comes Up Short

Lathrop lost against Mid-Buchanan back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mules were beaten by the Dragons 41-7. While losing is never fun, the Mules can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 221st, while the Dragons are ranked 69th).

This is the second loss in a row for Lathrop and nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Mid-Buchanan, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lathrop is set to take on their familiar foe Penney at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Mid-Buchanan will challenge rival North Platte at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
