Baseball Recap: Batesville Takes a Loss

Searcy hit Batesville with a eight-run sixth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Pioneers lost 15-5 to the Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-6 on Tuesday.

Landon Box made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Brecken Glasgow, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Batesville has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season. As for Searcy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-8.

Looking ahead, Batesville will square off against Mountain Home at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Searcy, they will host Jacksonville at 1:24 p.m. on Friday.
