Softball Recap: Thunder Basin Extends Winning Streak to Three

Thunder Basin waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Torrington Trailblazers as they made off with a 9-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Bolts, who have now won 13 games by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Danica Shawver, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Madlyn Means, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Thunder Basin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matchups.

Thunder Basin's victory bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Torrington, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Thunder Basin wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-6 loss against Central on the 2nd. Torrington has also already played their next game (against Campbell County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
