Basketball Recap: Mekyal Eddie's Big Game Can't Quite Lead University Prep Art & Design over Inter-City Baptist

The University Prep Art & Design Mustangs lost 68-45 to the Inter-City Baptist Chargers on Tuesday. The loss put an end to the Mustangs' undefeated start to the season.

University Prep Art & Design's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mekyal Eddie, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Richard Lee, who went 5-for-8 to rack up 11 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, University Prep Art & Design fell to 2-1. As for Inter-City Baptist, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. University Prep Art & Design will host Lincoln-King Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Mustangs their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Inter-City Baptist, they will be playing at home against Walled Lake Northern at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
