Basketball Recap: Richmond Heights Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

If Richmond Heights was feeling good fresh off their 69-38 takedown of Hawken last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Richmond Heights Spartans came up short against the St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish on Monday, falling 61-35. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 199th, while the Fighting Irish are ranked 20th).

Richmond Heights' defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4. As for St. Vincent-St. Mary, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Richmond Heights will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Perry at 6:45 p.m. Perry has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for St. Vincent-St. Mary, they will face off against Wayne at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
