Volleyball Game Preview: Morton Potters vs. Metamora Redbirds

The Morton Potters will head out on the road to square off against the Metamora Redbirds at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Morton will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, Morton earned a 2-0 win over Canton.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Morton took both sets by at least 16 points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-7.

Meanwhile, Metamora posted their closest victory since September 2nd on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Washington 2-1. The victory continues a trend for the Redbirds in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won three in a row.

Metamora had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-19, 25-22.

Morton's win bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Metamora, their victory bumped their record up to 15-6.

Morton was able to grind out a solid win over Metamora when the teams last played back in September, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Potters since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
