Lafayette strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the Lindbergh Flyers 54-14. Given the Lancers' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Flyers are ranked 129th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lafayette's record is now 8-0. As for Lindbergh, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lafayette will challenge Marquette at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lancers will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.63 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lindbergh, they will square off against Mehlville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
