Basketball Recap: Hapeville Charter Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 10-10 at halftime, Hapeville Charter was not quite Lovett's equal in the second half on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 32-31 to the Lovett Lions. The Hornets haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Lovett found their leader in freshman Riley Gallagher, who posted 14 points.

Hapeville Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Lovett, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-5.

Hapeville Charter will welcome Holy Innocents Episcopal at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lovett, they will head out on the road to face off against Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
