Basketball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Academy Drops Season-High Score on Williamstown

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cornerstone Christian Academy). They walked away with a 49-39 victory over the Williamstown Demons on Friday.

Cornerstone Christian Academy found their leader in freshman Abby Brothers, who dropped a double-double with 25 points and 26 boards. That makes it 19 consecutive games in which Brothers has scored at least a third of Cornerstone Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Hobbs, who posted three points and five rebounds.

Cornerstone Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-14. As for Williamstown, they dropped their record down to 0-16 with the defeat, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Cornerstone Christian Academy will take on Henry County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Williamstown has already played their next matchup (against Gallatin County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
