West Point had won 21 straight games dating back to last season and Quentin Thompson did his part to make it 22 on Friday. The Green Wave enjoyed a cozy 20-6 victory over the Holmes County Central Jaguars with plenty of help from Thompson, who rushed for 148 yards while picking up 8.2 yards per carry, and also threw for 28 yards and one TD. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 136 rushing yards.

West Point's win bumped their record up to 13-0. As for Holmes County Central, they moved to 10-4 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, West Point is taking a road trip to challenge Brookhaven at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Green Wave will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 31 points in their last six matchups. Holmes County Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
