Omaha Lightning's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Kansas City East Christian Academy on the road and fell 71-29. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Omaha Lightning in their matchups with Kansas City East Christian Academy: they've now lost eight in a row.

Kansas City East Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jared Devine led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds. Devine hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kevin Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.

Omaha Lightning dropped their record down to 0-3 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Kansas City East Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 18-10.

Omaha Lightning does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Kansas City East Christian Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Northland Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
