Softball Recap: Northampton County Takes a Loss

If Northampton County was feeling good fresh off their 52-27 takedown of Southeast Halifax last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Northampton County fell just short of Rocky Mount Prep by a score of 27-26 on Thursday. Northampton County was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Rocky Mount Prep apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Northampton County's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Rocky Mount Prep, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Northampton County is set to face off against their familiar foe KIPP P at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Rocky Mount Prep will square off against rival Wilson Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
