Mohave hasn't had much luck against Coconino recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Thunderbirds will be playing at home against the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Mohave took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Lee Williams 5-4. The win was some much needed relief for the Thunderbirds as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Rilynn Bragg made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Jahnezz Jones was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Abby Osuna, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Mohave kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Coconino made easy work of Mohave and carried off a 14-7 victory. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Coconino got a massive performance out of Summer Rhodes, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave Rhodes a new career-high. Katelynn Yazzie was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Mohave's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Coconino, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.
