Football Recap: Manatee Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Manatee had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took an 8-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Booker Tornadoes on Friday.

Manatee and Booker could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. The Hurricanes will challenge St. John Bosco at 7:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (75 vs. 2). Meanwhile, Booker (ranked 118th) will meet Auburn (ranked third) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
