Baseball Game Preview: Northwood Temple Academy Eagles vs. Fayetteville Christian Warriors

Northwood Temple Academy is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Fayetteville Christian a nine-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Northwood Temple Academy Eagles will host the Fayetteville Christian Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Northwood Temple Academy is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 16 runs last Tuesday, they were much more limited against The O'Neal School last Thursday. They came up short against the Falcons, falling 7-1.

Northwood Temple Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elijah Pereira, who went 3-for-4 with one double.

Meanwhile, while it was Fayetteville Christian who put the first runs on the board on Thursday, it was Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill who put up more. The Warriors lost 14-1 to the Lion.

Fayetteville Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Northwood Temple Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.
