Baseball Recap: Jefferson Area Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

Jefferson Area won the last time they faced Lakeside and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Falcons came out on top against the Dragons by a score of 6-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

The team relied heavily on Michael Riffle, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Salinas, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple.

Jefferson Area's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lakeside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.
