Football Recap: West Adams Comes Up Short

West Adams was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Workman Lobos, falling 26-6. On the bright side, the six- point performance marked the Panthers' highest-scoring game to date.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Jairo Hernandez and Sam Caneja. Hernandez rushed for 50 yards and two TDs while Caneja rushed for 70 yards and one touchdown on only five carries.

West Adams' defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Workman, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

West Adams and Workman will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Panthers will face off against rival Los Angeles at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Workman is set to challenge their familiar foe Bassett at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
