Baseball Recap: Dibble Has No Trouble Against Hinton

While Dibble put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Hinton. The Demons were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Comets. The result was nothing new for the Demons, who have now won 14 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Cale Carter looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Blake Creswell was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Ott, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.

Dibble always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .727. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hinton only posted an OBP of .267.

The win made it two in a row for Dibble and bumps their season record up to 20-4. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Hinton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-15.

Coincidentally, Dibble and Hinton will both be playing Rush Springs the next time they take the field. The Comets will host the Redskins at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Demons will play them later in the day, at 8:00 p.m.
