Lovington entered their tilt with Non Varsity Tournament Opponent on Saturday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past Non Varsity Tournament Opponent 17-3. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by ten runs or more this season.

Josiah Gauna tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since March 1st.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Mika Pando, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Ryan Wieser, who scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Lovington kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 6-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Lovington's record is now 9-5.

Looking ahead, Lovington will head out to challenge Roswell at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Non Varsity Tournament Opponent, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wells at 2:30 p.m. on April 30.
