Recap: Wall Eagles vs. Lakota Tech Tatanka
The Wall Eagles put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Lakota Tech 59-29 on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-14.
Paige Kjerstad was her usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with nine rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nora Dinger, who scored 11 points.
Lakota Tech's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Shania Ferguson, who scored ten points along with four steals, and Isabella Shangreaux who scored six points. The matchup was Ferguson's third in a row with at least ten points.
Wall's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Lakota Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Wall won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Red Cloud at 6:30 p.m. on December 16th. Red Cloud knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Wall likes a good challenge.
