Baseball Recap: Halifax Gets the Win

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Halifax and Schuylkill Haven, and Halifax kept the tradition alive. Halifax came out on top against Schuylkill Haven by a score of 8-4 on Monday. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered an 11-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Josh Zahurak was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. Brandon Schell was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Halifax now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Schuylkill Haven, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-1.

Halifax and Schuylkill Haven will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. Halifax will take on rival Upper Dauphin Area at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Schuylkill Haven is set to challenge their familiar foe Nativity BVM at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
