Goshen Central and Horseheads squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Goshen Central had to settle for second. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Raiders. The Gladiators' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Goshen Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marley Northrup, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Goshen Central's loss dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Horseheads, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Goshen Central nor Horseheads have any future games scheduled.
