Recap: Branchville Yellow Jackets vs. Whale Branch Warriors

This season hasn't been kind to the Branchville Yellow Jackets, who are still winless after their eighth matchup. They took a serious blow against Whale Branch on Tuesday, falling 52-8. Branchville has not had much luck with Whale Branch recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Branchville struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Whale Branch posted eight assists.

Whale Branch found their leader in underclassman Larmore Pryor, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 steals. That's the first time this season that Pryor scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Zaria Coaxum, who scored 19 points along with eight steals and six rebounds.

Branchville dropped their record down to 0-8 with that loss, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Whale Branch, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-12.

Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Bamberg-Ehrhardt the next time they take the court. Whale Branch will head out to face Bamberg-Ehrhardt at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Branchville will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
