Baseball Recap: Seminole Comes Up Short

Seminole was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 13-3 to the Lake Brantley Patriots. That's two games in a row now that the Seminoles have lost by exactly ten runs.

Jadenlee Echavarria was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jaime Collazo Pagan, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Seminole's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Lake Brantley, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seminole will welcome University at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. Lake Brantley will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Seabreeze at 5:00 p.m. on March 24th.
