Baseball Recap: Glenelg Country's Win Ends Seven-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Glenelg Country had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Chen on Tuesday. The Glenelg Country Dragons put the hurt on the Chen Chargers with a sharp 9-0 victory. For the Dragons, this counts as revenge for the 8-5 win the Chargers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2023.

Michael Gensemer made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Gensemer was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Keegan Wojdon was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brayden Henson, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Glenelg Country has already played their next match, a 9-1 defeat against Severn School on the 13th. As for Chen, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 14-1 loss against Perry Hall Christian on the 13th.
