Basketball Recap: Berean Academy Eagles vs. Hixson Wildcats
The Berean Academy Eagles won the last time they faced the Hixson Wildcats, and things went their way on Thursday too. Berean Academy walked away with a 55-46 win over the Wildcats. Given Berean Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 193rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 394th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Austen Harvey, who scored 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Powell, who scored 12 points.
Berean Academy's win bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Hixson, their defeat was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-21.
Berean Academy is on the road again on Monday and plays the Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on February 5th. As for Hixson, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Signal Mountain has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 315 points over their last five matchups.
