Northwest Halifax had lost four straight headed into Saturday's matchup, but Marsay Edwards didn't let it get to five. The Vikings took their game on Saturday with ease, bagging a 54-6 win over the Weldon Chargers thanks in part to Edwards, who rushed for 128 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 40 yards and one TD. Northwest Halifax is 2-1 when Edwards posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 2-4 otherwise.

Another player making a difference was Daveion Richardson, who picked up 75 receiving yards and a pair of scores. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made five total tackles.

Northwest Halifax's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-5. As for Weldon, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.
