Baseball Game Preview: Biggsville West Central Heat vs. West Prairie Cyclones

The Biggsville West Central Heat will head out to challenge the West Prairie Cyclones at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Biggsville West Central lost 14-4 to Monmouth-Roseville on Thursday. The Heat have struggled against the Titans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Biggsville West Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyle Lafary, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Lafary has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another was Cooper Gibb, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, West Prairie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Monmouth United, falling 15-5.
