Softball Recap: Lee Williams Volunteers vs. Parker Broncs
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lee Williams). Everything went their way against the Parker Broncs on Saturday as the Lee Williams Volunteers made off with a 19-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Volunteers in their matchups with the Broncs: they've now won six in a row.
Aivree Austin made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Austin was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. She also brought in two RBI, marking her first of the season.
In other batting news, Sami Marshall was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Lexi Harper was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.
